whats the fastest you've gotten your 996tt up to?
in mexico or on a closed track of course
I've hit 160 twice, first time was against a Hellcat and he ate me up but I didn't floor it all the way cuz car felt scary.
Second was recent after having my suspension re-aligned and tightened up, car now feels much more stable.
my only suspension mod are H&R springs.
Todd need not apply we already know...

211 on the German Autobahn
Unfortunately just on the Speedometer and not GPS verified.
Problem is the Gearbox and revlimiter, oherwise maybe more.

200 mph in my old Protomotive 700 kit.
On a VBox.
Todd Knighton calculated my top speed with raised rev limiter and 19" tires at
211 mph. (I have since sold the car to another forum member)
It also did 190.743 at the texas mile at 1.4 bar.

This summer I hit 214mph in the Sunvalley Road Rally (In idaho).
There was a 12 mph headwind too. It was extremely scary. It pushed my car all over the road and I even had tire squeal at 200+.
The previous year I did 211.2 redlining in 6th 1/4 mile before the finish.
Heres the video from the previous year, if anyone is interested...
Cheers!

This run is also a great tribute to the strength of these engines with proper tuning. This year I ran 1.6 bar on 3073 turbos. I was WOT through all 6 gears at an altitude of 5000 feet. Its all in the tuning and power delivery!

But its a charity event. So its tax deductable, and for good cause! The profits go to the Blaine County Drug Coalition to fight against youth drug use.
How are some of you going so fast? I bang off the red limiter at 188 in 6th with stock tire sizes and I think the red limit is 7000 or so. I went to my 305/30/19 but haven't seen if that would go any faster, or if the speedo would correct for it.

Stock tire size on the turbo is what 295/30/18? So a 0.75 6th ratio means you should be going exactly 198 mph at 6800... Which sounds like you're pretty far off. If you cant get to 198, its probably becuase you're down on power. I'm not sure if just a tune can get you past 188. Ferrari italias only run about 185 in the rally, and they're 540 hp and lighter than turbos (But my gt2 is 3100lbs).
If you had a 7k rev limiter you would be going 203 at rev limiter.
However, I have no idea how the 4wd system effects this.

The stock rev limiter is 6800. Depending on tuner its sometimes raised. But it depends. Kevin at UMW (Not my tuner, but I know of this) sometimes even lowers it from stock for those bad drivers that don't like to shift until it starts bouncing in the red.
