The tips put out by Zerotek are "buy it now" on the auction. Basically, you can buy it now at that price w/o any bidding. You can't even bid on them, actually. They won't go any higher.

Ahh, I see. I read your post incorrectly. Yeah, you might be able to get a nice deal on those as well. No worries.

Just curious if there was any chance you didn't properly install them, and maybe they rattled free?? I mean it is a crazy, but I was just thinking that since you said you had only installed them 2 hours before. Did you notice them on the car prior to walking into Home Depot?

I was actually about to ask the same thing. What are the chances that you got both of your tips stolen (which is fairly uncommon) within 2 hours of installing them? Also, wouldn't your exhaust tips be too hot to remove if you had just parked your car? I don't know about TT tips but 997 and 996 tips are pretty damn hard to remove even when the clamps are completely loosened. You have to really fight to get them off.

after i parked, i walked away and got a good view of the rear end from a distance as the right tip was bothering me like it was slightly off keel - but it's hard to allign those damn things!

you're right about them getting hot though - and i'd just driven about 3-4 miles! atleast they may have burned their greedy little hands

so seriously - would you guys spend $650 for OEM ones or $250-300 for look-a-likes with "quality stainless steel"???

TIA

The latest Excellence has several ads for dual tips between $2-300. I paid over $500 for mine at a P-dealer.

too bad i was buying an a/c filter and not a huge axe. i would've loved to walk out with this big *** axe on my shoulder while they're unbolting the tips

the part that really hacks me though is that i had JUST spent nearly $700 in CASH on these tips from the dealer so i consider it as though someone took $700 and not just some tips. and i NEVER buy anything with cash but just had some Benjamins in a drawer so it was an untraceable sale as far as the wife goes...
Sorry to hear this, Frank. Which Home Depot location? So I can stay away from it!
BTW, I do all my Porsche upgrade/mods with cash. With the wife handling our finances, what she doesn't know won't hurt ME.
You should have seen me at Hennessy a while back paying for my new clutch/flywheel with cash! The cashier thought I was a drug dealer paying $4650 in cash!

I would assume that it is the Home Depot off of Sydney-Marcus Blvd.

yeah - i would've thought you were a druggie as well with $5K in cash - geesh!

it was the HD over on sidney marcus. wife thinks it could've been one of the thousand illegal aliens standing on the side road looking for work? maybe they just swipe anything they can get from any type of car - probably have no idea that they are worth several hundred

told my wife how much to replace and she said "good - that's how much the coat i want from banana is"

<--- has the coolest turbo with the upgraded "rat pipe" look
