unFRIGGIN' believable

Pulled into the Home Dept for 10 minutes TOPS and came out to find my tips had been swiped I am dumbfounded - must have been followed...

I had JUST saved up money in the mod fund for the Upsolute upgrade that now has to be spent on new tips

I cannot express how frustrated i am - but i do feel sorry for the person that had to steal the tips just to be able to get by - hopefully not for drugs.

Anybody have any leads on where to get tips at a good price - looking for the quad tips

I actually looked around to see if I was being "punk'd" as I had just put the new quad tips on about 2 hrs prior. i gave my old ones to fellow porsche owner here in atlanta who had mangled his - it'd be pretty poor form to ask for them back...

nice guys finish last as they say

sorry to see this. lucky it's something replaceable and fairly inexpensive. just goes to show ya a turbo, nor any Porsche belongs in a parking lot unattended.

BTW: i've seen an acura and also quite a few VW/Audi's with Porsche tips. do you think those kids would spend $700 on a set, no they just go "find" a set in a parking lot

Unbelievable. Sorry this happened to you. Hopefully the punks didn't do any other damage like scratching up your bumper while they were taking off the tips.

Go BACK to Home Depot, tell the store manager what happened. They have overhead cameras that scan most of the parking lot (assuming you were near the vision boundaries).

Maybe you'll get a lead or two. Report it to the police too, just for the record.

they actually did nick some of the paint off on the left exhaust "hole" but it's not that noticeable

too bad i was buying an a/c filter and not a huge axe. i would've loved to walk out with this big *** axe on my shoulder while they're unbolting the tips

the part that really hacks me though is that i had JUST spent nearly $700 in CASH on these tips from the dealer so i consider it as though someone took $700 and not just some tips. and i NEVER buy anything with cash but just had some Benjamins in a drawer so it was an untraceable sale as far as the wife goes...
