Small Hose btw Plenum and Venturi Tube & N75
it's a small elbow shaped hose that connects up top near the Venturi and pre plenum.. and below its near the n75. mine is crimped. i can see it visually, and it needs to be swapped and it is impeding boost significantly. i can actually "see" that it is crimped/failed as in "not round" but rather pushed in. just the sort of thing to inhibit boost which it is as i'm only making .7-8 max and the car is tuned 1.2 and regularly hits 1.3 when all is normal. no cels just a crimped hose. not a big deal. but..
does anyone one know what it's actually called? i cannot locate the schematic of those intake part diagrams near the plenum, although i myself have posted the diagram in the past!
anyone can offer some guidance as to the part/hose i would appreciate it. TIA.
( pretty sure it's the hose where mark skis thumb is..? if that is in fact the vent tube its connected to. the angle is odd for me to tell, as once looking at it dead on it's turned/elbowed toward the outside of the rear of the car.
SO! never mind...i do believe i've found it? it's #12 in the diagram? it's the only one i see elbowed and appears to be in roughly the right place. unless anyone knows this one is NOT the one connecting from the venturi tube and to the n75 below. in either event, there are only so many hoses involved so this narrows it down, pretty much.: G99611065172
amazing what ya can do with some time.. and a search function

well, thanks. the diagram i found is above. my post was "pre" and "post" diagram finding lol
so.. no, not the descriptions as such?? i just need some help clarifying i have correctly identified the only "elbow" hose in that throttle body diagram, as thats what i can see is visbly "pressed" nearly closed shut, which by looking alone, would obviously be a source of my sudden boost loss. its very obviously "crimped" it looks as if its being "squeezed" shut! facing me as i peer into that section of the venturi/tb area etc..
thx for the input.
i cant make any sense of the diagram you posted since i cant even see the plenum. if you see my schematic? it's hose #12. which also appears to match the one in the markski911 pic i also included. they must be one and the same(?)

my thoughts exactly, and there cant be more than one short elbow hose! so thats all the confirmation i was seeking. thx. i should be able to get one tomorrow if my buddy has one or soon enough. at least it's a minor issue. now to swap it out. cheers.

lower the motor as far as possible and reach in there and prepare to bleed! its no different than anything else to work on in the incredibly cramped engine bay

for anyone playing along at home. i got the part number incorrectly from the auto atlanta site or i misread it. its actually 99611065372 NOT "5172".

parts guy *almost* had me ordering #11!
its amazing that they know so little ( they just stare at their pet catalog online ) and i made him dbl check the pet part#! and he realized the #11 is AFTER the venturi tube! and connects to plenum! not what i needed/asked for! sheesh.
freakin 2.5 inch hoses are 45 bucks and a bargain IF/WHEN you can even find em. this aint a cheap hobby LOL
thx again.
UPDATE: upon further inspection and the notion that something wasn't quite right ( meaning really "right" of the venturi .. as the case actually is..) it was discovered that the actual hose i need is to the RIGHT of the V shaped nipple/connectors on the venturi tube. meaning that the correct hose must be to the right ( single nipple/connector ) which in fact leads to the oil reservoir, and is situated on the right side ( passenger side ) of the plenum! so after looking closely at a different schematic ( the oil tank bits ) i can NOW see that the connecting hose leading from the vent tube going to the oil talk res is actually #35 with (2) hose clamps ( 36 x 2 ) on either side in this later diagram.
hopefully saving me untold minutes of frustration and hairloss if and when i ( would have ) in fact received the WRONG freakin hose from the W/C CA porsche parts hub.
what's the old saying? measure twice, and cut once? i sure hope i'm "right" THIS time. not easy doin this sh*t when ya don't *really* know what yer doin'. that'd be me
