Mystery input shaft bearing...

EDIT - INPUT SHAFT!

Can't get to the bottom of this, diagrams on PET simply don't show a bearing at that location, the main shaft at the opposite end to the diff.

We measured it (in place so not necessarily accurately) 31x61.35x? but the p.no. that comes closest 99911019200 is 30x62x16 and is shown as no56 on the PET, and on the pinion shaft. Furthermore off the number taken off the bearing race itself, an N206 bearing is correctly 30x62x16.

Very confusing, unless we have made a stupid mistake somewhere.

So if anyone can advise, here's a pic...

Hi Mac, I can SEE it but there is no description of it. It's the bearing that no. 39 points to, seated in the housing, although it's not no. 39 because that obviously refers to the housing. Thanks for now...

It's definitely #31 in the service manual, but I still haven't found the part number. I believe it will be found in the housing.

I think you found it. For some reason I didn't scroll down a couple of pages and look at the exploded parts drawing of the housing.

Monday... mechanic is on holiday but should open shop for a couple of hours. Will definitely get to the bottom of this then. These bearings are pricey, it's not like one would want to just chance them.
