Seats for the larger framed people?

I'm looking for some race seats that will be comfortable enough for daily driving and also able to support my wide shoulders. I'm 6'1 240. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm 6'5 250 and the recaro SPDs fit me just kind of snug. I tried to buy them right then, but they were on display at a car show.

Swear off Brides. Those things are made for small people.

Are you looking for reclinable, or a race bucket?

C5, unless I end up w/ an Sti or S4, but it looks like the C5 will get the seats for now.

For reclinable seats in a C5, I'd really look at the SPDs. Or the Recaro Sports (mitsu Evo seats)

If you get an STi, that's easy. JDM STi seats kick ***. USDM STi seats suck.

I didn't think the evo seats gave me enough support. What do the JDM STi seats run?

A nice set of JDM STi seats will push about 1200. If you really want to hunt down a pair, go to www.rs25.com. Someone there will know where some are. Actually, there's a group of guys in the LA/OC area that have them, you might be able to sit in one and see how it is.

in a C5 Recaro Sports , Recaro Sportlines if u want electric power or Cobra Misano (best looking aftermarket reclinable) . Sparco Milano's will work also. Had the Recaro's in a BMW and enjoyed them. Personally I'd go w/ the Misano's because I love how they look and feel.

John the cobra misanos are sick seats, but def too narrow for a wide framed guy... I'm about 25lbs down since the summer and 2 sizes andstill the misanos are tighter than my pole positions at an athletic 240..

I highly recommend the recaro pole positions, they are so damm cushioned and comfortable, they aren't reclineable because its a bucket but you can lean back yourslef without any back pain or sit upright, or the whole bucket can be tilted. Best seats and more roomy than the GT3s . Now I have so much more room since solimming down much more, I love them goodluck man.
