that's why I always need 3 cars. The smooth fast one, the easy daily driver, and the rowdy insane loud painful to drive one. ;-)
Back in early 2000 I purchased a 1994 R32 Skyline GT-R from Motorex. It was 1 of the first 10 in the US and the only one on the east coast, at that time.
The car was purchased bone stock. However, in the end, it had over 900hp and a straight cut dog box transmission. I had an early set of aftermarket BB turbos and knew nothing about how LITTLE oil they needed compared to standard thrust bearing turbos. Point being, it would puff a little during extended idling. Now, whenever I smell light oil coming from an exhaust I'm taken back to that time
