The Great Cannonball Run of 2003! Join up!

Well, we are only a little more than a week away from the Great Cannonball Run from Bakersfield, CA to Asheville, NC.

2400 miles in 2 days! You know it would be great if a few of you Cali guys decided to join me. Imagine a squadron of 996tt's blasting across America to the Tail of the Dragon meet in North Carolina!

It is going to be an awesome trip so who wants to come along!

Buddy,
Have you reached out to Tim'sNFS? He and his wife are coming to the TOD from Texas. You guys could hook up there.

Yes I did but we are on different routes. We will be north of him quite a bit and he will be taking a different interstate to NC.

Accomplice is infamous around these parts
I just drove from Chicago to Florida in my new-used C32 yesterday. My Valentine 1 cord broke before I started, so what I hoped could be turned into a 12 hour ride lived up to the net's prediction of a 17 hour saga. You guys will make short work of your respective journeys to TOD in your 996TTs w/ Valentine 1's functioning.

Kevin, why didnt you just buy a new cord on your way back home?
I wasn't sure if I could find a Radio Shack and if they'd have something that worked or if I needed to get it fom Valentine. I'm hearing now that many kinds of basic phone cords would have done the job. Its frustrating. And on top of it, I've already ordered one online from Valentine for $18 shipped. Doh.

That ticket really hurt. On top of it, I got nailed by a cop in some tiny town that probably doesn't really exist except for when I have to drive through it.
