COBB 1000cc Injectors
Anybody having driveability issues with their cars using COBB 1000cc injectors? My car simply drives awful at low rpm's under load/when boosting. Low rpm roll-ons are really bad. Roll-ons above 3500rpm seem OK. The car runs crazy rich. The inside of my exhaust tips and my bumper are covered in soot. Cold starts are ridiculously rich .
Here are the mods and new parts I have:
K16 billets, IPD plenum, 997 Throttle body, new plugs & coils, COBB 1000cc injectors, COBB mafless Tune(car runs even worse with the MAF installed/tune), Wagner IC, 2.5" intake from 911 Tuning, Sachs 2.5 clutch, new 3.8 FPR, Replaced every possible vacuum check valve & solenoid. AMS waste gates, Standard issue billet DV's, new wheel speed sensors, new fuel filter, new boost sensor, N75 check valves...and probably more.
I've done a bunch of boost leak test...no leaks and absolutely no codes!!
Note: Car ran fine with previous stage 1 tune(basically stock car with tune)
I've been chasing this problems for over 6 months...

We have been trying to chase this gremlin for a while. Magoochi has been outstanding as far as patience and really trying everything. We have swapped tunes from car to car also and it's fine. I wish we had the car here. We will look over some more logs today with a fine toothed comb.
Hang in there bud!

No K16's with 68mm TiAL wheels. Like an A28. The ID1000's are just a great no-brainer for us. Could be anything I think it's a gremlin in there related to air. We will keep working on it.

I feel you. Many tuners out there feel like these new injectors are better in every way and also allow the customer to move to ethanol with a pump upgrade. I've been pretty impressed with how flexible they are so it makes sense for me especially if it makes sense for Cobb.

magoochi,
I have 1000cc cobb injectors, and I'm early into the journey of dialing in my car. I'm working with Sam as well. I have A28 (early gen tial, GT28rs) turbo's, 3.8 bar FPR, fabspeed maxflo exhaust, and everything else stock.
I'm still on the initial mafless map from Sam. I've been slow to get him a full pull log.
Drivability seems 90%. There is some low speed vagueness, but I'll reserve full judgement until I iterate on a few maps.
It does seem moderately rich, but nothing to the degree you're suggesting.
What are your fuel trims at idle?
I would look into a possible exhaust leak pre-02 sensors. Perhaps it's introducing atmospheric air (oxygen) causing the closed loop feedback to add fuel unnecessarily.

I assume you're tuning via Cobb Accessport based on your earlier comments. If so, you already have the ability to see fuel trims live through the device.
You'll want to watch everything in the left column, for banks 1 and 2, to figure out which side is the problem:
Lambda, short term fuel trim, and long term fuel trim.
