NYC Dealer Service Fees...Sound Right?

Gentleman,

I live in NYC and had a few things checked on my 2002 TT at Manhattan Motorcars. Please let me know if this pricing sounds right to you all.

New Windshield (hit by a rock) - $1200

Replace Carbon Fiber by windshield and passenger air vent b/c it has come unglued - $1350

15K service - $681.34

Roof rattle requires a new spring and deflector - $675

Need to replace front wheel bearings + alignment - $1800

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

Gurfein that sounds obsurdly high

1st of all that price they quoted you is for the entire upper dash in carbon including the A/C vents - tell them you only need a specific piece.

2nd that price for alignment and bearing sounds nuts....

I am interested to see the responsed here ASAP

You have to keep in mind you are paying a premium at MMC. If its already getting done make sure Damien or Ineil are working on it. (They are the talent in that shop) If you want it done cheeper go out to NJ or LI. The other option if you wan't to stay in NYC is to call Bobby at Manhattan Motorsports probably won't be cheaper, but it will be perfect... Just curious why does the car need front hub-bearings?

Does your insurance not cover the rock hit? I have had mine hit 2x and both times I paid my $200 deductible and the rest was covered.

Cupping in the tires?? I have never heard of such a thing. Sounds fishy... Are you dealing with Mike or Lanka the service writers?? Send me a PM if you like, I think as a former intern and employee of MMC I may be able to give you some insight.

I didnt understand the cupping thing either. this is not the kind of cupping that excites me. insurance will cover the windshield in full as they did last time.

Jersey or even LI. I know I paid around $900 for a windshield replacement. Wow, that 15k service is just insane.

I thought so...

Nothing like a little rape during the holiday season! And, I probably can't even get the F'n car back today from MMC because of the transit strike.

I just paind 379 for the 15,000 mile service at Schneider nelson. Cupping tires would indicate a bad shock. Cupping results in the shock bouncing too much usually caused by a warn or leaking shock. Your car should be under warranty and all those interior parts should be replaced free.
