Vivid racing ripped me off
Yessir, and some subsequent experiences too specific to reference... Leave it at: not surprised.
I second that. My past exp. with them on smaller purchases was pleasant, but this is unacceptable.
Hope the OP can move on and enjoy his car, but the damage is done for Vivid

When will he be whole ? Sounds like an answer a politician would give lol

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here, no business can stay in business if they continue to rip people off. Especially in this day and age of the internet, where bad reputation spreads like wild fire. Vivid must be doing something right to be in business for 15 years. This thread reminds of me a bar fight, where people that are not involved in the fight keeps throwing beer bottles into the fight.
In most cases you usually only hear one side, and eventually other side will chime in.
This case the engine in question is well known and the buyer presented resounding evidence of vendors total lack of giving a ****. The tuner crowd is a tight knit community, and things like this remind me of the Hennessy conversations.
All vendor has to do is recognize the mistakes made and make them right. Easy to do.

I think its the fact that Vivid does a ton of business in B2B with shops. Sure, they might lose some money to the individual buyers but I doubt that this will have much of an impact on that line of business. Who knows, I dont work there so I cant really say what is or is not happening.
This isn't one OP against some large company and we don't understand both sides. Your right we don't understand both sides because Vivid isn't publicly addressing it.
One thing we do know is MANY folks have had the same bad customer service and where there is smoke there is fire. Being in business for 15 yrs doesn't mean much as mentioned before. Not in this day and age. You could get away with one bad customer experience 15 yrs ago, not so much any longer.

Google: motormeister problems
Nothing stopping you from filing suit - let a judge decide the outcome instead of the company stonewalling you. Don't know how it would turn out but I definitely wouldn't just bend over and take it.
he is in the uk and vivid is in the usa.
