Project Pineapple Express - Build Update V.3
#63
UPDATE: It's been 2 weeks with the car back home, and the ear to ear grin hasn't left my face. So far I've put ~800 miles on the car, I simply can't stop driving it. Everything has held together great and the total package far exceeds my expectations. I've yet to fit it with ethanol and try the highest map (I'll save the first time for the track in 2 weeks).

If you are talking about my silver 996 Turbo that Garth tuned it made 785 whp with stock rods on e85. Not sure exactly how the pro EFI computer works but I took the car out when it was 28 degrees and the computer showed 1003 whp with 742 torque.

Great power but your rods are on borrowed time . With the power and most importantly torque

Ok, so here is the grand revel.
To sum the updates up, the car went back to AIM Performance and was switched over from ProEFI to Syvecs. The tuning was performed by Emre of ESMotors this time around. While it was back, the car also got the upgraded transmission installed.
While the car will see highway pulls and events, my priority is streetability. No surging, no odd quirks I have to work around, I wanted every function and every button to work again (never got quite there w/ ProEFI).
In the picture below:
I've yet to drive the car myself, so I'll update with impressions once I pick it up.

In the picture below:
- Red = 2018, Syvecs, E74, Tuning by ESMotors at AIM Performance
- Blue = 2016, ProEFI, Ignite E85 (race fuel)
- Huge increase in area under the curve
- Peak HP is the same, but peak TQ is up by +170 TQ
- Peak power is now reached ~1200RPM sooner, and holds fairly steady through redline
- Until peak HP is achieved, TQ is always > HP
- On pump 93, the car still makes around ~700HP
I've yet to drive the car myself, so I'll update with impressions once I pick it up.

that's a BIG difference, the old dyno always looked lazy to me for that turbo size.

The S55 has been great, its a fun cruiser (albeit a few little quirks).
