Well guys, my build is finally off to get tuned. So excited.to see the results soon.
It's been a struggle to get it done. Between being parts, time working away from home, fitment issues with stuff, and just the time to do the work. Lots of 16 hour days on a day off from regular work to finish it up.
I'll keep the updates coming as the tuning is being done. Here is the mod list the best I can't remember.

Doh!!!! didnt build the motor? You will have to lower your torque alot and i wouldnt go past 600awhp. Anything passed there is a ticking ticking bomb.
Just my 2 cents.
It's torque you worry about, not horsepower. Folks have been running more than 600 for awhile but if you give it full timing midrange there's going to be issues...
Not true a 2001 turbo over here had 2 bent rods and made less then 600awhp. Thats why i built my motor to the teeth so i could go to the max on hp. Rods can break at anytime but the higher u go the more stress you put. Rods are just weak in our motora.
Looks like you did a ton of work. Congrats. When you get a chance, check your idle fuel pressure. Curious what it is with the two 450s cooking along at full bore.

It will be up north of 700 rwhp but torque will be limited down to 600wlb. I have 12 psi springs in my gates so it will be set to come on slowly until we hit peak torque around 3500-4k range and then add boost all the way to redline.

Thanks man. Ya I know we talked about this on other pages. Second pump won't come in until 10 psi. It's not perfect but it will work for this year. May go to seans brushless setup next year. I also added that fuel cooler on the return so hopefully thay helps.

K24 billets he wasnt even close to 600whp or torque. Thats why i built mine so i will not have this issue. Anyone can run any horsepower but stock rods and headstuds are pretty weak. After looking at another motor i see why heads lift. I learned alot looking at the motor apart.
Hard to compare the two setups. I'd image that the GIAC tune did not pull out much timing in the mid-range and I would also bet that the boost was tuned to ramp in hard as well right there. Freddy's proEFI tune should be much more effective in controlling the mid-range tqe and how much and when boost comes in. I believe this has been proven by others running big setups on proEFI and stock motor.

There is certainly a bit of a case by case situation here. You had your experience, but mine was very different.
I had a very similar setup to the OP, but with a hair more HP. The car was taken to many 1/2 mile and roll race events, took frequent trips to Mexico, and then at a lower power setting was daily driven as often as possible. My rods just came out and show no sign of stress/bending. I did the upgrade just so I can go to the next level.
My mentality always was, at the level I had (775WHP on the highest setting) I would be on borrowed time.
