Tire wear problem solved. Thanks to all here!

A few members helped me decide what parts to do to get rid of this ridiculous tire wear issue. Use to go through rears in 3-5000 miles. I did the tarrot monoballs and solid LCA bushings. This was my tire tonight after 5000 miles. The alignment is set at -1.6 camber and .25 toe. Awesome!! Thanks again to everyone who helped :-)

so you feel the more solid mountings are the reason for the reduced wear as compared to the oem rubber mounts? im guessing the rubber allows for more movement in the suspension and more wear? how is the ride? super stiff? would you think this is practical for a street car?

Yes, no more moving of parts under load. Keeps everything where it should. As far as driving, I can't tell any difference at all. Maybe rotating the car side to side at speed to feel the tank slapper is gone. About it. My car is 100% street, daily driver. This is also on h&r springs and stock 106000 mile shocks.

I've been telling people this for years. Takes care of tire wear issues and improves handling with zero downsides. Everything on my car is monoball and here are my rears new and after 500 miles...

+1, getting the LCA's locked in is 100% benefit, 0% downsides

Have monoball toe links, LCA with solid pucks and monoball ends, and toe adjuster locks coming from Elephant. Anything else needed to lock the rear down and how much noise am I likely to incur? Shop doing the work seems to think this is overkill lol.

I am very much interested in reducing the inner rear wheel wear on my 996tt (with 997tt wheels and 325/25/19 tires). The inside wears down to the chords in 8k miles while the outside tire looks near new. I was planning to pay $70 or whatever to switch tires on rear wheels (they are directional so can't just swap wheels) to help even out wear on my new set of tires.

Any links to needed parts is much appreciated. Never heard of this stuff before...

I feel like -1.6 is low.. even for street.

I run -2.5 in the rear and 2.7 up front.

why? I don't even run that extreme on my road race car. If you are just a highway roller then all you are doing is giving less stability at speed and braking.

Glad to hear! Best thing I did to my suspension years ago! Toe settings make or break our rear tires!

excuse my naive question but the rear toe and camber suggested are per wheel or total amounts: -1.6 camber and .25 toe

thanks
mike

Its partially tire dependent, but a Michelin slick on a cup car wants around -3.5 degrees.

I agree, if your car is just used for cruising/rolling, you are better off with less camber to increase contact patch in a straight line.
