Procedure for swapping clutch MASTER?
I've looked a good bit for this and found plenty of information for swapping the SLAVE but nothing for the Master. I've peeked under the cover panel in the frunk but all I see is the fill for the master. I've not dug into this yet but is the master up under the dash? Hidden under another panel? I've actually got a spare I bought trying to figure out how to adjust the pickup point etc. out of curiousity (no it can't be adjusted) and it's a small two bolt thing. I just don't know where it lives or how to get to it, hoping it's not super hard as I hope to be swapping mine in the near future
Thanks!

Thanks!

james i would also suggest you lay a plastic sheet on the floorboard. removing the lines may have some residual oil. also make sure you flush the system completely before removing the old master and installing the new.
I'm in NoVA but a bit out west of town. My system is already converted to standard DOT4 fluid as I've got an SRM semi-metallic triple disk Tilton clutch with a hydraulic throw out. I'm hoping to swap the master for something special, stay tuned. I agree yanking the seat will probably have to happen and plastic is a good idea too. I've not yet crawled under there, not looking forward to the experience lol

I remember this being a physical challenge for me and I'm 5 foot 10 190lbs. Good luck!
6ft2 and 265ish, I miss being 165! I will persevere and if I simply can't do it the shop who's about to do my suspension work might be called upon :-O I'll try myself first, I've had to get under the dash of every other car I've owned so why not this one? I've done the ignition switch 2x already without removing a seat (shrug)

for me removing the seat allowed me to lay on the floor and stuff my feet in the backseat area. much better than twisting in the door laying over the doorsill. remember its almost impossible to get your arms stretched out under the dash

I was eyeing one for a while cause the OEM plastic one just doesn't look as nice as a metal unit.
Honestly looks are the least of my concern, I haven't been able to find the silly thing so far! I'm hoping to test something that will work better. If it works you'll know, I'll be pretty happy! Stay tuned, will take a little while so no sense getting revved up just yet I'm afraid. Bear in mind I'm running a triple disk ceramettalic Tilton with a clutch stop now.

By looks I don't mean just the aesthetics. It's just a frailer piece compared to a metal counterpart. They have one that looks like it will work easily I forget which model.
