Would PCNA buy back a tt because of bad navigation?

Im looking at a 2002 tt with 15k miles. The dealer (maserati) says it was a buy back at 2000 miles due to a faulty navigation system. They say they have paperwork for it. Nav has been replaced and they say thats all that the buy back was for. Should I be concerned? Its seems crazy that they would do a buyback for only that. Anyone have any thoughts or advice for me? thx.

if porsche bought it back, then why isn't it at a porsche dealership??? but if they really did buy it back and then shipped it off to auction, there must be a reason why a porsche dealer didn't pick it up.

i'd atleast take the VIN to a porsche dealer and have them run it - they'll be able to tell you what warranty work was done on it and any buyback issues

The car was bought back and sold to a second owner who traded it on a maserati. Thx for the advice. Anyone have any experiences with buy backs? Would they do it for nav? The maserati place said that its not really that unusual and that hi end car makers will buy back pretty easily.

While the lemon law process varies by state, Porsche can be forced to buy back a car for almost any reason. In Georgia, failure to fix any problem after three repair attempts starts the lemon law process. I had Chevy buy back a car because they could not balance the tires...

Does a buy back show up on the title or carfax? Does it lessen the value of the car usually?

In some states, it shows up in the title. I beleive it shows up on car fax. And a dealr buyback does lessen the value of the car. I have seen some great deals out there on buyback cars.

I had my entire navigation system replaced in mine...no buy back. I don't think they would buy back for such an easy replacement, IMO.

Do a search on it... they even replaced his entire windshield, and it still fell off.

Like I said before. BS. He was going to ASK for a buyback. That does not mean Porsche decided to do it. I highly doubt that they did.
