Cerakote MC-160 FTW

Just finished applying a coat of Cerakote MC-160 clear coat on my spare set of rims and was very happy with the outcome. The blades were finished in slate grey metallic to match my car, sanded with 1200 grit, cleaned and then had the clear coat applied using an Iwata gun.

VERY nice!! Its hard for me to tell on my phone but is the face silver powder coat/paint or a brushed/polished finish?
Guessing the slate grey is basecoat and you cleared over the entire wheel?

Ive got my set of Sport Techno wheels and was thinking about changing them up a bit (they are stock silver). These wheels lend themselves to a two tone look really well. Good stuff, Interested in seeing them on the car.

Over the long holiday weekend I had a chance to mount the tires to the rims and get them on the car. A couple of details - I installed four new factory steel valves. The steel valve kit included instructions stating to only use the included valve cap, which I thought was odd, but sure enough, the included valve cap actually has a special seal that you don't find in generic valve caps. The other detail was that the 17mm spacer kit came with black lug nuts, so I previously ordered ten black Porsche wheel bolts so that both front and rears would have black fasteners.

I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out and the way the look on the car. I love the hollow twists, but the two-color hollow Sport Technos take it to another level.

The wheels came out great!

Now color match those warts in the rear and dial back those exhaust tips!

I've been tip-shamed. Where's my safe space and coloring book?
