Filters on turbos
The DVs dump to atmosphere, the 3 way hose which connects to DVs and accordian tube is eliminated. You then plug/cap the remaining tube connection on the DV F-hose. The hose which goes to the stock inlet pipe on the drivers side you can just add a small filter to the atmosphere.
So when one leaves the stock piping in place, do you have to block off anything?
Obviously you can take the stock airbox out and block/cap the area where the accordian pipe is(right after where the MAF was). What happens to the 3 ports that are on the stock piping? There is one that is at the bottom of the DV's dump into. The next port is where the oil tank vents into and the last one is on the pipe just before the driver turbos. That one goes to the #16 check valve. What do you do with those 3 ports?

I did this years ago and went back, so I am glad I left them in, however, I had our Hi-Flow intake tubes installed, so it was just a matter of removing the lower piece to make room for the new inlet components. I am not sure the OEM tubing would be worth keeping in place, as you would have to cut it and going back would be problematic. When doing this, the DV's get scrapped and are re-located to either the intercoolers or Y-Pipe and vent to atmosphere. The evap vent tube can be left open to the atmosphere and zip tied or incorporated to the new turbo inlet tube.

I was just looking under the car and it looks to me like you could the leave the diverters in place as is, plug the accordion tube where the MAF is, remove the short section of plastic tubes by the turbos (No Cutting Required) where the new filters will be installed and put a vent on the line coming from the oil tank. The rest of the stock plastic tubing could be left in place with a small piece of screen over the ends so no dirt would get in if you decided to go back to stock. The screen would also let the diverters dump out the end of the stock plastic tubing left in place by the turbos.

There are a many ways to skin the cat, if you are creative and have the mindset to analyze, fabricate, etc.

Big difference. Sounds awesome to boot!
Very informative. What is the price of y pipe with dv’s On the back? I already have the SpeedTech hard pipes but I’m thinking of going to filter on turbo as I upgrade to tial hta 3076 I feel ill need more flow. They will be in the for sale section soon
We ave built these 75mm Y-Pipes w/ Tial BOV's for people wanting to vent to the atmosphere. I will PM a price.
