Filters on turbos
usually only hear that out at the bar
I use these. Larger and can get the filter further in and away from the tires. You will need a piece of hose to put over the turbo inlet and the these over that as the flange is 2.438 instead of 2.25
Those are a better option if your plan is to eliminate the original intake plumbing. I went with the largest filters that would fit that would allow me to keep the original plumbing and be able to go back and forth if needed.
That's actually a great point and that makes me more intriqued. Most of us live in states where smog or an inspection requires us to keep the stock intake configuration.
Being able to switch between the two setups easily would be awesome. ECU tuning is literally a 1 minute flash away beyond the physical filter change.

I took off the plug adapter and made my own adapter to push through the rubber front of the K&N. Kind of a rigging but it works. Not even sure its totally necessary, though.
Can anyone else chime in on the sound of the car being annoying with a fender intake system?
IM looking to do fender intake on mine and don't want to go through all this hassle of getting a tune etc when it going to sound like garbage even if there are massive performance gains

Pros? Easier breathing for the engine, better spool, more power. No more blown MAF or MAF restriction.
Cons? MAF is directly measured airflow, MAP is inferred airflow. MAF can adapt, within some range, to higher and lower airflow demands as the engine is modified. Since MAP is inferred changes in airflow capability that change the VE of the setup will require some tuning adjustments.
