Best commercial i have EVER seen!

This video honestly makes me tear. I might say that to emphasize how good something is, but seriously I have never seen a video this moving. I've always wanted a 911 Turbo ever since I can remember, and this video just takes that feeling and multiplies it by ten...too bad I don't own one yet and soon doesn't look too bright either...

I hope to have the privelage to own one someday and it must feel great to own the best sports car in the world.

ps: not to mention all of Porsche commercials are amazing...

I must be really cynical or maybe just having a bad day, but it seemed overdramatic. I'll have to watch it when I'm feeling better. I am glad you posted it though.

Yeah, this is the "Dreamers" intro video for the 996 Turbo. Porsche used to have this on their US and UK websites for the longest time.

It still holds a place in my heart as I used to be that little boy...

Gosh- haven't seen that in awhile, and I have it on VHS courtesy of Porsche. I remember first seeing it while I was waiting on my first Turbo. Then I remember the couple of "care packages" Porsche sent after I bought it. The Turbo, when it came out, knocked the market segment on its ear and did so for a long time. I remember some not liking it because it was too good and too easy to drive confidently very fast.

Now on my second Turbo, there were no "care packages" after I bought the S. However melodramatic, overly romantic or whatever, the car is still a blast to drive and very easy on the eyes and does stir emotion for me.

It's funny- I'll get more cars, but I don't plan on ever getting rid of this one. My wife feels the same way about her W210 E 55 AMG. I hope to be getting a Z06 in the not too distant future, and while it will be faster than my Porsche, it won't make my love my Turbo S any less.

Oh, and BTW my wife and I bought our little boy the sit-on Boxster S Porsche from the Porsche dealer for his first birthday gift. It's Speed Yellow, matching my Turbo S and it's his favorite toy. Now 16 months old, he goes absolutely crazy to sit in daddy's Porsche and hold the steering wheel and listen to Baby Einstein disks while parked in the garage. In fact, if he's out with my wife and he sees a yellow car, he gets excited and screams "Daddy."

You can't buy the joy that this hobby has brought into my life.
