Nice part. I'd bet that most of the wear you will find will be in the valve train.

To update this, having had a chance to examine the various cranks side by side, even thought these are all supersessions of the same part, the later -95 and -96 cranks are indeed different than the early -92 cranks. Porsche has changed the oiling channels slightly in the nose and tail of the cranks. The oil channel on the flywheel side is wider and there is oil channels in the nose of the crank are angled differently. I assume based on what was learned with the early gen versions, this was all done to improve oiling with the later generation motorsport crankshafts...

I have a mint condition 996TT crankshaft that came out of a 29K mile stock block 3.6 Mezger. $1500 plus shipping.
