Help - Brake Pads Spinning!

I don't know how this could possibly happen, but here it is. The pads are moving on the baking plate and making contact with the center of the disk. The brakes, disks and backing plates are all new. The baking plates have a sticky surface and the brake pads were stuck on before installing.

Does anyone have any idea how to stop this? I'm supposed to go to Porsche parade this Saturday...

That should be impossible, something is missing/installed wrong... there should be "ears" on the upper area of the pad that locks them in place from rotating.. Im going from memory, but that may be incorrect pad? I'd take it apart and reinstall and try again.

The new pads are identical to the old. No Extra pieces after install. There is just the one pin that goes through the center of both...

These pins if the pads are properly installed should stop them from rotating. That adhesive attached back plates are mainly to stop the pads from sticking. Make sure one of those pins didn't break off.

I took them out again and, although they looked identical, there were some subtle differences. I put the old ones back in. New ones coming tomorrow. Is it possible that those were from the rear?

Yes the rears are smaller. Those weights circled in white are for anti vibration. The pads backing plates extend above and below them and latch in a groove in the caliper. If you put rear pads in the front calipers they are too short to latch at both top and bottom.

Great to know. I have always been explained otherwise. But anti-vibration makes sense.

I picked up my new "Front" pads from Lordco this morning only to find that they were, again, "rear" pads. I had to return them and order from someone else over the web. I guess I'm going to Reunion with the old pads.
