I am contemplating having the EVO stage 4 installed on my car in the near future, but have not decided in regards to the headers.

I did quite a few online searches and saw most gains generated by headers were about 5 hp if any at all. Most of the threads I found stated that headers were not useful until you exceed the 650hp threshold with larger Garrett style turbos. I am sticking with my factory K24s. A 5 hp gain is not worth $1800 in my opinion.

Evo quotes a 17 hp increase with their K24 headers alone. Are they being overly optimistic?

What are the real gains generated by headers on a K24 car?

I thought the same thing, but my butt dyno could surely feel a difference and the boost comes on alot quicker.

just port ur stock headers for free using a dremel and ur done....

You don't happen to have a before picture as well do you? How long did the process take?

By the way, did you notice a noticeable difference after the Dremel porting?

I used my friends body shop .. he let me use a air tool.... but a dremel will do fine. u dont want to see stock headers...

Are you suggesting the Evo K24 header is the same as porting your OEM parts?
