if you are driving up I have a road you must drive.

Take the 5 up to buttonwillow where you will see hwy 58. Take hwy 58 over to where it ends in santa margarita at the 101. Then take the 101 up.

58 is an unreal road. It's about 80 miles long the first 20 or so miles are just LONG LONG LONG straights where you can really get on it. It then has about 60 miles of great flowing twisties.

The road is just unreal, and it's just deap empty. I've driven it 10+ times and I can count the people i've seen on the road w/ my hands. The scenery is amazing also.

Scott: Thanx for the tip...
I've just looked it up on yahoo map, hehehe... it doesn't really take that much longer to drive up to SF compared to I-5.
I guess this is the route I'll take...wahahahaha
btw... after looking at the picture... is there a gas station on the way??? b/c I don't wanna stall in the middle of no where... hahahahaha

Endra: for sure dude... but remind me to bring my camera with me...hahahaha... i always forget things...^___^
and ur car better be done by then...haha

There is a group of gas stations in buttonwillow where you get off the 5 to connect w/ the 58. The drive may ad 45 - 60 minutes to your drive but it's well worth it. I do it everytime I drive up there. My avg speed last time through 58 was still something around 78 mph

had you just ordered it and they sent you the old one? Mine is from 99 but i'm about to upgrade soon

V1 is a great company, if you call them and let them know you just want to hold onto it for a week while on a trip they wouldn't have a problem

i have two 99 units sitting at home doing nothing ^__^
b/c the suction failed...
gonna custom make a bracket to secure the unit near the top of the windshield...
b/c it hits the window every time i accelerate ^_^

I'll be doing the upgrade only...probably for 1 unit for now... and keep the other unit for newer ones (if they're gonna have one)

I believe the upgrade is 189 + shipping...^^
not bad... at least better than purchasing a new unit ^_^
