Miller front straight fly-bys
These were taken by a Z06801 while running down the front straight at Miller this past weekend during the PCA Club race. These were pretty cool clips as it's the first time I've heard what my car sounds like from the sidelines... Thanks Park!
Entering the braking zone of turn 1..
Another clip about midway down the front straight right at the 4th to 5th shift..

Thanks, appreciate it. Car is really dialed, feels absolutely perfect. The track was a ball. Besides COTA, this is my favorite. Ran the full 4.5 mile course on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday I ran the 3.0 mile outer loop for the first time. Great layout and really flowed well. Was able to run a 2:02.85 on cycled out Nittos which looks like was the 3rd fastest time behind a '13GT3 R and a '17 991Cup in the Club race. With fresh tires and a little more familiarity with the track, a 2:01 would easily be doable, on slicks easy sub 2s. Incidentally I looked up some of the production car times of the Miller outer loop and found a published time by Porsche factory driver Patrick Long clocking a best of 2.02:52 in a 997GT2RS and Chevrolet factory driver Jan Magnussen clocking a 2:03:86 in new gen ZR1. Clearly I'm nowhere in the same league as these factory race drivers but being able meet and beat their times on totally baked tires speaks volumes for how capable these 15 year old 996 platforms can truly be when dialed in properly. These are still amazing machines. Really couldn't think of another car I'd wanna flog at the track to get my adrenaline fix. It's been utterly reliable so far. I put the car on the PCA scales there and it weighed 3120 with 9 gallons of fuel. This is with a full GT2 interior but only one seat. I have a CF hood going on the car next month and that will drop the weight to 3095. I was originally thinking of gutting the car and racing it but have pretty much abandoned those plans as a friend of mine wants me to race a 996Cup with him next year. Should be fun.

Definitely, the remodel will be done by then.
Your times and comments are spot on regarding the capability of our platform. The newer sc Vettes have hood open after every session, gt3 can't get away or pass, and other cool hardware wonders WTF is up with a 20 year old turbo!
