I hate to beat a dead horse, but just when I've made up my mind on an exhaust, I get more info that makes me stop.

I have heard the Fabspeed medium sport exhaust in person and it sounds sweet. My question to those of you who have this on your car is.... How bad is the resonance? Several folks have said there is a significant drone around 3000 rpm. I'm not sure if they are speaking from personal experience.

Thanks

I have it on my car, I love the sound but the droning can get old and it definitely occurs around 2500-3000 rpm.

I did a side by side comparison of my no cat, racing muffler exhaust vs. Jay's Fabspeed . . . everyone present agreed that his Fabspeed was louder.

Great exhaust but boy does the drone get you down, even my kids complain.
Im consisdering a change to the awe-tuning exhaust for the fact they have no drone whatsoever,allegedly,apparently,possibly, or is it hopefuly?

What do you all mean by "drone". I know the definition
"To make a continuous low dull humming sound" but how does that translate to an exhaust? I can hear my exhaust on the freeway and it is definitely a continuous low sound but isn't that what you want? I guess I haven't heard enough exhausts to understand.

my loud version is great.... with 100 cells its awesome... we even did a back pressure test.. and it was a 1 to 1 ratio.... just like Formula 1

One should not be concerned "how loud" an exhaust is... until u get threatened by ur neighbor cop when he walks out with a loaded gun at u....
it happened to me... I had straight pipes.... ooops

The drone made me get rid of mine pretty quickly. I got very tired of having take asprin to get rid of the headache everytime I drove the car. The wife flat refused to ride in the car after the first trip.

I have had fabspeed exhuast for awhile and here are some observations:
1. you could never sneak home or in your office's back door;
2. they are great for performance, you will notice the difference;
3. mine buzz (resonate) and it can be disturbing;
4. you begin to say "whaaat?" alot;
5. quiet woman do not want to ride, wild woman like the noise (these observations are merely suppositions);and
6. you will set off every dog and sensitive car alarm in the neighborhood as you go by.

If this is your cup of tea then by all means. Did I mention it helps you go fast?

For me, the drone/resonating is unbearable, there are exhausts on the market just as loud without the horrible interior drone, I'm sure the experts know which brand.

Is the medium as bad at resonating as the super sport?
