Top Speed Estimate

Isn't your top speed gear limited as opposed to power limited? If your gear ratios are the same, it won't matter what you have in there, you still won't reach it. Unless you change the ratios of course...

In order to get much above 190 MPH (certified time, not what the speedo shows) you have to remove the rev limiter, install a longer 6th gear and add some serious power. To show what can be done, a Sportec prepared 911 cabrio set a world speed record at Nardo and here is the info on that run:
In case you don't have your calculator handy, that converts to 227MPH!
The 580 HP strong Porsche Turbo Convertible with a long 6th gear by the Sportec manufacturer pulverised the former record and set a new benchmark for sporty convertibles. As a matter of course, all modifications obtainable from the Sportec manufacturer have a MOT approval - in Germany as well as in Switzerland.

What gear ratio would you possibly get then?? A stage 2 car would def. have the pull and power to even get up to 190 and beyond, so stg 3 without a doubt would def. be able to get above 190mph!
Im just wondering what gears you would need. I know in the M3's the 3.9/4.10 gears were good for NA cars and you lost your top speed , what's the stock diff ratio on the turbo's

Gear change?
Instead, you can change 6th gear to something around 0.55 - 0.5
cheers

My GIAC hits the limiter right at 6500.
190 in that video! That's some *****!
I guess the question has been answered. the top is gear limited at 190. My car would just there quicker. Pretty impressive if think that the car can pull from 40 to 190 one gear.
