Spoiler problem

Hi, today I decided to tackle the spoiler issue on my car. Both rams damp at bottom, spoiler stuck in down position. Luckily I managed to get hold of a new pump and rams. I purchased a spoiler removal tool from the Porsche shop (which is the lowest quality steel I have come across on any tool) . I undid the pipes from the rams to release the pressure so as to be able to unhook the spoiler. I did the driver side first (rhd uk car) which just popped out but then when I tried the other side it just kept spinning around without releasing the spoiler. I tried many turns in both directions and now my crappy spanner broke any suggestions? This must have happened before? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

You need to line up the holes for both the outside and inside rams. You probably are only catching the outside. I just put a punch in the 2 holes and used a rubber strap to turn it.
The inside ram has the cam that attaches to the pin on your spoiler.

Ah, that makes sense. Thankyou very much for taking the time to point that out for me.

Yep, line up inner slot with outer thru hole. 1/4 turn is all it takes for 996 TT.
