P1507 Throttle code again

P1507 Throttle code again
Throttle was cleaned up couple months ago, it did happened like an yr ago too, I purchased a second hand from Ebay and it gone wrong after 12 mths, put back the cleaned old one, ran fine for 2 mths and again.
But this time doesnt have bunch of codes, just P0102 and P1507, therefore P1507 is not clear-able via Durametric, even I reset the throttle and can have the code clear for a minute, it would come back again immediately when the next key on.
Sounds like this time I should have a new TB right? Thanks guys.

Thanks mate, will do tonight, but as your code was P0507 and mine is P1507, similar but still different.

just sayin. its so long ago now. i dont even remember what codes i had! but still maf related. I'm gonna wager that a maf will cure your issue. if i am wrong? good luck collecting GL tho, really.

So for your case, after the new TB installed, anymore symptoms or codes comes back again?

Iirc? The electrical component of the tb when intermittently failing can cause the butterfly not to fully close. I'm not that well versed in the OBD codes, but that is another issue I once faced that came to mind.
There was a gt2 tb available then and there for the swa,p so no other diagnoses was necessary.
Yeah at this point..I would swap in a new one. GL.

I honestly cannot recall! Sorry..
again the last time I sourced a tb my issues were maf related and I gambled and won. As the codes indicated TB!
The last tb swap I did was on my previous 996 turbo and that time we had another tb available right then and there as I said earlier..
I am pretty sure the tb is 996/986 so double check and look for the 986 part if so! Just like the maf is cross compatible 996-986 boxter
Again gl
