Engine wasn't broken in and it was warmer summer day (80s) when it was on the dyno. Now the engine is looser runs well and produces the trap speeds and times quoted. 0-60 with 2 people best of 3.4 to 60. Typical about 3.6. Based on the weight of the car and seemingly always having a passenger it is performing in line with my expectations of the GT640.

I am learly of dyno numbers as the only benchmark of the worth of a modification. The dyno environment suffers from heat soak unless its really frickin cold. There are other issues also but the bottom line for me is the delta and consideration of the conditions at the time of the runs. I wonder how many phone calls tuners get with complaints of not achieving a specific number that is quoted. That part of the business I am sure that they do not enjoy.

First, if it is an AWD dyno you should take off at least a 25% correction factor. Second he did a Mustang Dyno, which even if he disengaged the front wheels, those dynos are notorious for putting out much lower #'s than a dynomometer/dyno dynamax (standard dyno).

Yea Mustang's do dyno low but i hear are very accurate, also for the AWD its 25%?!? Would make sense but i heard much less drivetrain loss, hmm all this **** is so confusing. Oh well, im dyno'ng my car soon with a few viper guys, it will be on an AWD mustang, anything i should do, just run it as is no disconnecting front driveshaft correct?

okay, so the question is.. are there any X50 turbos before the GT2 was launched?

i.e. did they install what the X50 turbo had on the GT2..
or did they install what the GT2 had on a turbo, resulting in the X50 package

i guess the DIRECT question would be:
are there any '00 (first year production) X50 turbos?

No there werent any production X50 package 911 turbos until 2002, same year as the GT2.. Im pretty sure they took the GT2 turbos and intercoolers and slapped it on the turbo as an X50 package after it being on GT2, not the X50 and then GT2, wouldnt make sense

The X50 IS a GT2 engine, turbo, intercoolers, etc... in an AWD package for all intensive purposes.

It's detuned a bit from the GT2 engine and also has a strengthened gearbox in both 6 speed and Tiptronic.
