They would be foolish not to do an X-50/Turbo S option on the 997TT

No, I think it was;
996tt - 415 hp
996tt x50 or S - 444 hp
'02, '03 Gt2 - 456 hp
'04, '05 Gt2 - 477 hp.

The 450 hp number on the X50 package was the German equation DIN, 444 is SAE, U.S. numbers, which they indicated on the S models. 1 SAE HP = 1.014 DIN HP, therefore 444HP SAE = 450 DIN HP. Porsche factory rates all their cars in DIN standard. I learned this a couple of weeks ago from another member.

Oh no absolutely, I just dont think I can hold out till '09 for the X50, I already decided to wait till the '08 but tacking on another year before ordering one doesnt rub me the right way. I was hoping the X50 was introduced a bit earlier on the 996TT to give me some hope, but looks like Im out of luck on this one.
