Let Me Give A Bit Of Background

The Reason I Ask Is Because:

I Have A Normal Turbo With K16 Turbo's With Giac Flash

Am Upgrading In A Week To The K24's With The Flash

So The 2 Questions I Have Are

1. Is The Only Difference Between The 2 Cars The Turbo's, Or Are There Engine Mods As Well?

2. Is The Difference Very Noticeable?

I've been in both, but not long enough in the x50. To me, it seemed like the x50 had a bit more oomph in the lower rpms than the non-x50, but then again it's really more the butt dyno telling you that some times....I dunno....

the difference going from k16 to k24's with GIAC software will be a nice gain in performance. while your at it go with headers, intake and some diverter valves. I believe I saw your car already and you have exhaust, so with all the above you would be at Stage 4 if I'm not mistaken. Oh yeah, get the 100 octane program while your at it.

The X50 is a better platform for a chip upgrade. X50+reflash+race gas= one very potent package!!!

more lag but pulls harder. i'd do the GT2/X50 intercoolers along with it. let the header be the next.

Yea i mean the X50 is very fast, they pulled a 3.78 0-60 and 11.89 1/4 mile out of it.. I would imagine more lag down low not more oomph down low, but much harder and consistant pull in the upper rpm's and gears, this is stock to stock.. K24 also has the HUGE advantage of upgrade as mentioned to..

I cant wait to eventually get my K24 hybrids and race map, few other things as well

Have both. 2005 TS cab and a 01 T coupe. Allowing for the weight difference the X50 gets the nod but it is hardly what I would refer to as a night and day difference. Did the GT640, evoms, airbox, diverter valves, 5 bar FPR, flash, exhaust on the X50. Made just shy of 500 on a mustang Dyno (race gas pgm) when it had 3k miles on it. Runs mid-low 11s @ 125+ with 2 people in it in (also heavier to start with). That is respectable considering done on street tires. As the engine has accumulated more mileage (10k) it has improved.

If it behaves like mine you will enjoy the package. Assuming that it doesn't pop in tank fuel lines like mine has.
