Smile Finally have them together (996TT and 996GT2)

Hello,
So finally have them together! After more than 2 years I finally found nice 996 GT2. It is rare clubsport version in arctic silver.
The 996 Turbo next to it looks very different (even though that it is little bit tuned...)

I have few questions. I want to use GT2 on track. Do you know about any tire size, that will work on GT2? It is pretty hard (here in the Europe) to get 315/30/18 semislicks. Also lot of people tell me, that the car need the alignment adjustment, can you recommend me some setup?

Thanks to all.

Děkuji. Bohužel v tomto rozměru neseženu v Evropě žádné vhodné pneumatiky (kromě Toyo R888 a těm se snažím vyhnout...). Máte zkušenost s Yokohama A052? Má smysl případně koupit 19ti palcová kola?
Jinak je moc příjemné vidět zde odpověd v češtině, co si pamatuji, jste původem Čech?

Holy smokes...the perfect combo!!! Congrats

My dream was to own a 996TT and a 996 GT3 but that was mainly because it was a little easier to get the GT3 but this is a dream combo for sure!!! Being that I don't want to sleep in the yard I will just have to make do with the 996TT

Ano, puvodem. Narodil jsem se v zil jsem se v Praze. Porad jezdim do Prahy jednou az dvakrat do roka.

R888 jsou spatne. Ty bych nepouzil. V Evrope by jste mohl sehnat Pirelli Pzero Corsa (60 treadwear) 265/35/18 a 335/30/18.

Front camber: LEFT -3º25’ (-3.42º) RIGHT -3º26’ (-3.43º)
Front toe: +0.02' (+0.04' total)
Rear camber: LEFT -2º24’ (-2.40º) RIGHT -2º24’ (-2.40º)
Rear toe: +0.15'/side (+0.30' total)

Wow nice combo!!

Sorry if I missed it but is it confirmed that 275 wide tires fit in front and 335 in the rear, on an awd 996tt?

what offset wheels and what other modifications are you doing to get this to work?

i am using 245 wide front and 295 wide rear cup 2 and it didn't seem like there was much more room to go wider.

Thanks!

Nice combo. I'm also wondering how you got 275/335 tires t fit a 996tt. pics and details about wheels and offsets would be much appreciated.

First Photoshooting / First kms

So finally I took my car out of the garage. It was little bit tricky because the car is very low. Also another thing is that the registration process in the Czech Republic is pain in the ***...
Now I have to do few kms to learn how to drive it. It is very different from any other car. And Im also little bit scared .
But we did few pictures with my friends 991.2 GT2RS, so enjoy the pictures and stay tuned. GT2RS seems like to be a big car next to 996, Am I right? Also the handling is so different from 996. 996 is true hardcore and pure car.
I will add only few pictures here. I will add rest on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janhampl/

I did first 1900kms in my GT2.
Visited Walter Rohrl at his home at Sankt Engelmar. He is absolutely amazing and he signed my car. Then I took my Gt2 to Porsche Factory in Leipzig and did few laps on the track. Then moved to see Stuttgart factory and Weissach. What a drive and what an experience. GT2 is wonderfull car. It is pure race car with road licence. GT2 is lot faster than 996TT and it is absolutely another experience.
Thanks guys. I will keep it stock.
