Car starting without pressing clutch, ignition switch?

Anyone have this issue before? Seems like it may be ignition switch, I replaced a few years back. Car sat for 2-3 months, went to start and noticed that I hadn't even pressed the clutch pedal. Was able to repeat several times. Switch feel is a bit different than what I can remember, but it had been awhile, so not sure.

Thanks.

You can disconnect a wire under the dash to be able to start the car without the clutch. If you didnt do this it may have done it itself.

clutch switch has failed (in a 'good' way) or it has been bypassed and you never noticed, if wires are disconnected the car won't start

Now is a good time to get an off/on toggle switch and use that as a secondary security system for you car.
I did that when mine went out. It is great when traveling or to keep my girlfriend from driving my car when I am traveling..
It is also important to let anyone working on the car know so they don't accidentally turn on the ignition when in gear
