I think these Recaros are more snug than the stock seats. I am 5'11, 180lbs and I definitely fit more snugly in these than the stock seats. Also, these seats are less adjustable and don't go back as far. I would definitely find a set to sit in before you make the purchase.

Were the OP’s seats heated? If so was the mechanic able to get the stock harness under the seat to work with the seats original wiring?

I know this is old.

I have metropol blue and just did the sportster gt in black fabric, it looks good. Not great but the local upholsterer will redo them in a color match if I want to pay for it.
