Hey guys,

Just wanted to say hello and thank all of you for the information in the posts. All of the information allowed me to buy the car I wanted, I would have liked to get an X50 but I wanted Midnight Blue badly. I figure some trips to Fremont will fix my need for the X50.

'03 TT is stock with HRE 540Rs which I'm trying to decide if I want to keep. I don't know what to do first probably suspension and a ssk and go from there. At the moment, I'm just enjoying the car, about 3000mi in the first month. I wish I had some better pictures but it's been raining a lot here in SF.

'03 TT, build May 03, Midnight Blue w/Graphite Grey, Navi, and not much else.
18K mi when I bought it just about 21K mi now.

I would love to make some smart *** comments but I wouldn't want to be a Robert P.

Gabe

Heya Robert,

Trust me for a few grand you'll be way quicker than an X50 A quick Flash, intake and maybe an exhaust and you'll be in the 11.6 range @ 123-124:P Midnight blue is an awesome color... FBC996 has a turbo like that and same interior. Those wheels are a bit heavy but they look good so.... Make sure the DV's are changed and that you have an SSK. Don't stay with the stock shifter as it's like rowing a boat...

Proposed mods are to start with a SSK and probably PSS9s, Motons sound a little much for my needs. Other performance mods, I'd like to be cautious until it's out of warranty, still another year and a half. I doubt I can wait that long.

Alex, my name is Gabe, but I was making a joke about that guy Robert P who posted about a month ago about how he paid cash, got special unknown P mods from Stuttgart for free, paid $5k to ship his car, houses in Newport, etc, etc.

When I get some time I plan on heading down to get an idea where to start.

The wheels are currently off the car, I put the stock wheels back on. Call me conformist but I like them.

Oh duh.. I remember that guy Mr. cash! I'd do an SSK for sure and let me know if you want/need a set of slightly used PSS9s. We've done 3 moton kits recently and folks have taken off their PSS9s so I can put you in touch with them

I know what you mean about the wheels. I'm not a big HRE bling fan myself... I like less chrome and such... I almost got a GT2 in that same color so I know why you had to have it. It's superb for the car. Fasteddie's TT was like that.
