Window Issue

My passenger side window seem to be off when fully closed, the rear section of the window touches with the rear passenger window. When I roll the passenger window all the way down, I could hear a light noise. Refer to attached photos taken from both driver side and passenger side window for reference.

Does anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it? Thanks!

Sounds like you need a regulator, very common on our cars. If it is not the regulator , you can adjust the glass fore and aft.

Funny, I took this exact picture. I just pulled the door panel and adjusted the window forward about 5mm. Loosen the two clamp that pinch the glass, slide it forward and tighten.

Nice to know, did you adjust it with the window rolled up or down?

Thanks!

Take the door panel off and adjust the window.

Thanks!
It was rolled down. I think that's the only way you can get to the fasteners. Be sure you mark where it is now with tape or something (down by the clamps). You'll want to move relative to those marks. Also, disconnect your battery cuz you'll have to remove the door airbag!!

If it's making weird noise too, it's probably on it's way out anyway. I replaced my regulator last summer because my window wouldn't drop down properly when I opened the door and then it would get stuck on the outside of the upper trim when I closed the door. It also was making fun noises when it went up and down. A new regulator fixed everything! If you do end up replacing it, remember to remove the extra set of stops on the bottom (I think they are for Boxter installs) so the window can roll all the way down. I forgot to remove them and had to go back in later.

Thanks Vogz, my passenger side window does not make noise and I am taking the car to my buddy's shop to take the door card out see if I can just simply adjusted it.

Good stuff. Hopefully it's a quick and easy fix.
