Intake Plenum & 75mm throttle body

Just got the new Performance Products catalog. They are offering an intake plenum with a 75 mm throttle body for approximately $1300. This will work for the K24 turbos. Anyone have any experience with this mod, is the difference noticible? They claim a 30-35 horsepower increase to the WHEELS with this setup. Any comments or observations appreciated.

I know that some people have been running larger throttle bodies with the GT700 kit, and I believe EVO is working on making a larger throttle body a part of its GT kits.

I am not familiar with the particular intake plenum offered by Performance Products, but I am using a larger 75 mm TB and improved intake planum on my car:

Hmmm seems like a cheap and easy 35HP. I'm already suspicious...

sounds really interesting, they also have the plenum for the 70mm throttle body. Is 70mm stock Turbo size? The 75 mm looks really similar to the one Craig posted.

76mm TB = 75 mm TB . . . its the Bosch TB used on the 996NA.

To the best of my knowledge, EvoMS does not currently offer a modified intake plenum. Rather, the part referenced on their website in conjunction with the larger TB is a transition between the Y-Pipe and the larger TB. The intake planum goes on the opposite side of the TB.

I have the plenum and 75mm throttle body on my '01 with K16/24 turbos and it dyno'd @ an increase of 25rwhp. I believe the one I have is the same as Craig's.

The intesting thing is that the car lost .1 bar of boost and was running leaner, but still gained the 25hp. We turned the wastegates up and now its really rockin'. 1st gear disappears in a hurry too...

Overall, I would say it's worth the $$

Now here is a real intake plenum with none of the neck downs.

Our TB is 90 mm.

Is that the Evo one or the Performance products one?

I got it from Speed Gallery...the inside of the plenum is very smooth and is coated with some kind of orange material.
