No longer a Virgin: Modded to 600HP

It's not often we get to see "virgin" 996TT's these days. Most of the Bay Area ones have been tampered with I forgot what a stock X50 felt like- can't say I liked it much in stock form. Laggy! Still we popped on the EVO 600HP kit (Stage IV) with the race program.

The new EVO exhaust has a nice high pitch tone btw and coupled with the new K24 headers, V-Flow intake it makes good power. It's what we do to a lot of GT2s. We also sorted out the suspension with some PSS9s. Drove it over to Brian@Carlsen to get the alignment done and man what a difference... It's actually pretty cool to see how much you can get out of an X50- after all it comes with K24 turbos and GT2 intercoolers. With a few mods that lag can certainly be tackled- that's for sure. Still loving the aerokit...

Sharky,

Will the stock hoses hold 1.2 - 1.3 bar? Or will they burst and/or leak?

Honestly it's only a matter of time on the 01s. They have an even weaker hose design. I know from my car... You'll get the driver's side hose going into the intercooler easing out first...

So your mad capers continue. Sure like my turbo since you guys did your thing to it. I'm never selling that car;-). So what's next for me? Did you ever find a steering wheel for me? Techart? Let me know, and give my regards to James.

Actually... I have an idea of what's next for you:P Glad you're enjoying the car. Seriously your stage II was as quick a one as we've done. Had to have something to do with the made in spain case... Might want to do the hoses to keep things in check.

I did find some wheels for you. I'll mail you some pix!!

James says hi back... He just installed a NAV unit into the shop FJ Cruiser after hours He's mad... and already talking about popping in SC. He needs to be in a straight jacket. There is nothing that fella can't mod.
