29,999 Glorious miles!

When I leave work today I will be rolling over to 30,000 miles. As I reflect back on the last 4 years of 996 turbo ownership I have to smile. So much has transpired over the last four years both good and bad. I have to say that this is the first car that I am not going to sell to get the latest new car. I will keep this car forever. This does not mean I will not add other cars to the stable but the RED BEAST will stay for a long, long time.

I have modified this car to just about perfection. There are still some things I would like to do, but as far as engine, suspension, clutch, brakes, interior and stereo I believe I have reached Nirvana.

I am a very happy Porsche and Evoms customer! Just my misc. ramblings! Thanks for listening.

Except tha MAF and popping out of second gear issues, the 996 TT is a pretty bullet proof, low maintenace car. Its just too bad that Porsche didn't own up to the tranny issue, since it's so costly and prevalent. Must say that It's the best car I've had so far. But then again I've never owned an F car.

shouldn't be that much. check around at other dealers. it should be $1500 on the high side, $1000 on the low.

Definitely double-check that price. I had mine done by the dealer last year here in CA, and it was under $600.

I passed 94,000 miles today on my 03 X50 - bone stock - I've owned it less than 3 years - would not change it for anything.....would be nice to add that F40 to the stable some day...but that is at least a couple years out....one can dream though right....Enjoy it and congrats!!!
