10.5 sec. 1/4- my other car...

I decided to take her once again... we were able to run only once... they kicked me off because I didnt have a cage...
well it bogged on me at the start...(very sticky track) wish I had 2 more runs that way I would nail the 60 ft. This is not her best time... but this is the only video I have... we are working on getting 9s... as long as I get her into 1.3s 60ft. which is be possible if I could get a few more runs... maybe next time.
its a full weight street car.. I drive it daily.. AC, radio, back seats, etc...
she ran on 32 psi.. have room for 37 psi... Gt35r turbo with a built 2 Liter motor. I could have gone with a bigger turbo... but I didnt want to loose the drivability.
My Pcar.. coming soon

Lots of speed and potential in the Evo. Pretty impressive run inspite of the slight bog on the start.

Great runs! There are not many people that can claim a "bog" on the launch and still get a 1.6x 60ft.

Please describe the changes and costs!

Wow! If that is still reliably streetable, *please*
describe your changes! I never drag race, but
i would seriously consider making such a car for
autocross.
thanks,
Joe

Great run Mark, that car can get into the 9's with ease from where you are right now. Im so impressed with Evo's, great modability, aggressive looking and handling, i would love one as a track/project car!! Goodluck Mark getting those 9's

You guys.. thanks for the comments...
I had my share of exotics... but this freaking evo is just crazy... not joking.
It runs at 20 psi on pump gas and I still beat most of the cars out there.
The record for my set up is 9.97 sec... but that car was stripped inside. IM full weight. we are very confident we can get into the 9s.. we have done 10.2 b4. I just need a few more runs to dial in the launch.
Joe, I drive this car everyday...
build out:
2 liter built motor(top and bottom)...
custom clutch(twin disc)
custom intake, intercooler,880 cc injectors, fuel system(10 gallon fuel cell), AUTRONIK stand alone, garret gt35 R turbo. 10200 RPMs.
I wanted the drivability so I decided to stay with a gt35r...
mark

From a former Evo VIII owner....WOW. That is impressive. I built a project Evo that was an all purpose road course, drag, and show car that made 460whp and went 11.45 @ 126mph, and that took a lot of work. I know of your car and it is very impressive, congrats and I look forward to seeing 9's.

FWIW, here are some pics of my former Evo:

Thanks... its a combination between the right parts and tuning... and it also depends on ur goal... I can easily turn this into a road race car... its already prepped.. suspension, breaks etc...
Thanks so much for the compliment... you have a beautiful car as well.

Thanks buddy,
I cant say any evo build out is reliable... ist all on the edge...
I am with devotuning.. ADAM the tuner used to work for AMS before they became known... they used his car that ran 8s to promote the business.. among other things... then he left and went on his own... Martin the tuner at AMS are still good friends with ADAM... they are both Polish, liek me... and they both deserve my respect. both guys achieve the same results... just differently. Lets put it this way... Adam is the black sheep in the evo business... yet he has helped many people become succesfull giving up his knowledge.. without getting any respect back...
I have no idea about the east coast... but as far as midwest... AMS and devo both know whats up...
mark
