DEANWYSOCKI is infamous around these parts
i know my milltek is loud in my opinion, i got too used to the stock no noise ! but looking at awe myself, 300 cat to reduce the noise. otherwise, i will go with what 100% of every experienced person said = ""europipe stage2 quiet"".

Red face

right now its between AWE/RuF/EP2-Quiet
I wish i had dB charts to compare with, but so far i'm leaning towards EP2-Quiet
whichever one is the quietest i'm going for. I'm only going for 600hp here so I don't need a crazy free-flowing straight-pipe exhaust.

Correct on RuF. It's essentially a stock exhaust with 100 cell cats etc...

hey deanwysocki, i might be buying a ruf exhaust and selling my stock turbo s (x50) exhaust..
hey sharky, is the ruf exhaust going to be able to hold 600hp? I'm aiming for the evo stage4 package and i don't plan to go any higher.

I haven't done enough testing with cars that have it but obviously the flow is much better than stock. Does it flow as well as straight pipes, of course not I think k24s, flashed, headers and a ruf will be fine.

Dean,

This is what you need:

Cut and pasted from my post earlier in this thread -
If you really want quiet, get a custom made RUF "quiet" version. It is virtually identical to stock sound (just a shade louder) with the 100 cell cats and RUF interior design. I had the standard RUF and it was too loud and droned while cruising at 2000-3000 RPMs. This was RUF's answer - they swapped me at no charge. If you really want quiet with the upgraded performance - this is it. According to RUF, there is no loss in performance over their standard twin outlet version. The quietness is achieved by retaining the stock single outlet, instead of the twin tips. This means you can/must use any version of the stock tips, as well. I remain totally pleased with this exhaust after 4 years and 50,000 miles.

If you were to get this exhaust, I am certain that you would be very pleased with the sound AND 100 cell cat performance. I bet you would find the standard Ruf too loud with some drone, like I did..
