Michelin PS2 - 315/25/19: Availability anywhere?

Hey guys,

Does anyone have any contacts to obtain two PS2's in this size? I have two on backorder with Tire Rack, but they are not expected for over 30 days and could be delayed again.

Any help would be appreciated,.

Thanks
Sandy

I had the same problem, Sandy. I was about ready to settle for Continentals, then the stars were aligned right and I found a pair. But yes, they are backordered and France has not confirmed the start of production, not to mention even shipping them yet. I need either one or a pair myself as a spare. I'll pay a $50 finders fee if someone can set me up. Sandy get's first dibs, though, as this is his thread.

It's so bad I bought a used pair from a Corvette owner. Paid just below half price for tires with 80% of the tread left. Plus piece of mind knowing I have a spare pair!

I would be willing to pay $100 to "borrow" a 315 PS2 for a week as a backup in case i get a flat during the Player's Run. I will, of course, pay for shippng to and from. If I don't use it, you'll get it back unused, unmounted, good as new, and you keep the $100. If I use it, I would be willing to pay a a premium to market value. As I'm sure you realize, the chance's I need it are very slim, but a flat could be disaterous on such an important road trip. PM me if anyone is interested.

I hope the stars align for both of us soon. I can't believe that Michelin does not produce more PS2s in this size.

BTW, I hope you get a spare set for the Players Run. Have fun and be safe.

Arling,

What do you think about the Continentals? The Tire Rack's online data shows the largest recommended wheel width for the 315/25/19 to be an 11.5" wheel. The wheels I have coming are 12" wide. Do you see a problem with this fittment?

Thanks

they're ok. not the best but the price point in better than PS2 since 19''s wear out fast.

11.5'' is the best fit for both Conti & PS2. the 12'' will be a bit wide since u don't have much room to stretch the 25 profile tire. why do u want to go 12'' though?

I ordered a set of IForged and decided to stick with 12s, since the factory 18s are 12" wide. They should be here in a couple of weeks.

Do the Conti's look strange on 12" wheels? Are MPS2 a lot wider than the Contis even though they are both 315s? Are there any safety concern running the Contis on a 12" wheel or is it strictly an aesthics issue?

Thanks Arling

Here is 315/25-19 PS2 on 19 x 12 rims on my GT2. I don't think it looks that badly stretched.

Josh,

Your tire/wheels look great and don't looked too stretched at all.

It sounds like the Continental tires might not be as wide in the same 315/25/19 size as the MPS2 and have a more stretched look.

Hopefully Arling will be able to find the Conti on 12s pics.

Thanks for posting the pic.

I'd love to know who at Michelin keeps making the decision to push out the production date on this size, because they are really starting to alienate a very good market segment.

My hands are tied here and I hate it. Sorry.

I recently bought new wheels and tires from Wheels Boutique one of our sponsors, they had a hand full of the 315-25-19 PS2 in stock.. I am not sure if they would sell just the tires but give them a call..
