Ruf PSS-9 shock adjustment

Hey Guys,

Wondering how one adjusts the front shock settings on the Ruf PSS-9 setup. I was told that the adjustors are on the sides of the struts...but I don't see them. Are the adjustors under the blue rubber cap on the bottom of the strut?

Thanks,

You got it - under the blue cap...Although I have never adjusted these myself, I hear that knowing which number is what position can be tricky...

not that tricky, there is a line on the bottom of the adjuster that you line up, of course its in a hard place to see but if you look on the outside toward [wheel side] the bottom of the adjuster you will find it.

I have 3 all around but might try 3 in the rear and 4 in the front per recommendation from a fellow board member WhiteTT

Hey Kevin...

I've tried almost all the settings and all kinds of different combinations...I settled at 4 front and 3 rear for a nice neutral feel. Asgar recommend 4 all around, but I like 4/3. But try it out...and see...3/3 or 4/3 seems to feel the best for me and everyday driving.

Am I correct that a higher number equals stiffer?

Thanks

The lower the number the more damping. Assuming you do not have any other suspension modifications, I would recommend the rears always be set at a lower number than the fronts. This will tend to counteract the inherent understeer characteristics of the car.
I currently have mine set at 3 front and 2 rear. I plan to experiemnt with higher settings soon.

Hey John,
Side note...............
Take a look at Sean's RUF RTurbo car's performance at the recent AWE Tuning Dyno Day. The 550 hp you quote is a bit off!!! It is more like 600 hp!!!

CJV...yes I did...nice people.

KPV...yes, thanks, I saw the dyno of Sean's. I imagine that it is the same as mine. I will be dynoing mine on a Mustang in the next week or two and will post the results.

Thanks,
