Question Limp mode......again!

This is the second time this month the TT went into limp mode. About 3 weeks ago under WOT in 4th near the top of redline, I shift, and the car has no power making me think I blew a hose.
See link: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=48448

Then yesterday driving home on a small backroad, I go wot and hit about .6 bar then had to slow down due to someone turning onto the same road as me, the car goes back into limp mode. No CEL's, but just a slow unresponsive car. I go home disconnect the battery...wait 10 mins, and it is 100% fine again. Any ideas why this is happening? Does it have something to do with gas? Thanks for any info.

I think we discussed this in prior thread when I thought it might be bad gas. My car has also continued to go in and out of limp mode with no codes thrown. I do have a reader. I spoke with Stephen at Imagine Auto. He convinced me it was most likely the plugs. My local wrench at the dealership is pretty good and he thinks its water in the gas tank from bad gas. Iam going to have him drain the tank and put new gas in. If the problem persists then he will change the plugs. The car is a stage 1, 2003, and has 18K mi on it. Stephen says the plugs are usually fouled by 20K.
I will let you know what I find out...

Plugs were done about 5k miles ago. Had the infamous shudder when I upgraded the programming. Anyway, I have been thinking it is related to gas also. I only use Shell premium from the same station, but lately here in MD it seems this station must be low on premium. Sometimes instead of taking 3-4 minutes to fill up....it takes 7-10 minutes to fill up. The gas pump seems to be running very slow. Also never run the tank low, once the gas light is on, I am off to the station (about 8 years ago I had a 2:00 AM ran out of gas episode once and had to walk 3 miles to a station...vowed to never let that happen to me again!)

In third and higher gears, I hit 1.3 bar, but then it drops to 1.2 bar. After adding the exhaust this has been the norm for the car. The first time it went into limp mode, I hit 1.3 bar and it dropped. But the second time it went into limp mode, I may have hit .6 or .7 bar max, but had to let off the gas since someone pulled in front of me. Once I hit the gas again, the car felt rougher and louder...with alot less power and was very unresponsive.

I had the same symptoms... and ur running k16s.... or modified???
did u ever adjust ur wastgates??? ur overboosting and since u have a 1.3 bar throttle body shutdown feature..as in most no GT series tuning kits by GIAC(keeps u form overboosting)... ur hitting the limit and the car shuts the TB doen and or pulls back the timing...

K16's..not modded yet. Wastegates have never been touched either. Since I am overboosting, and it shuts the TB down, why does it go into limp mode?

I believe you need to adjust your wastegates. Sounds like they are set too tight. I thing they need to be "loosened" 1 turn to reduce boost by 0.1 bar.

1.3 bars on a k16 hmmmmm I had a hard time sustaining 1.2 bars on a k24.
TB shuts down when u go past 1.3 bars sustained... or so... ist all a munch of values... that are beyond me... but I would have mine shut even b4 1.3 bars when it was cold outside and I did 4 rht gear pulls.
was ur car running liek this all the time ???

Was this caused by your oiled filter?

I don't think this is from the V-Flow and it being oiled. I think either my wastegates are off....since I am boosting at 1.3 at times or I got some bad gas.
