Question for those running OEM GT2 rims at the track

I just received my GT2 rims with MPSC that I purchased recently. Question: The rims have rubber valve stems, are these OK for PCA DE events or can metal stems be fitted with no modifications. Thanks, Kevin

I have the same set up. They are fine and the way they come from the factory. You can change them out to metal if you want. I havent.

Kevin, that was my plan as well. They are great wheels and I have noticed a huge difference in car handling with them. (My car came with 19 inch wheels) which I sold.

Tom, have you modified your suspension, and if so any clearance problems with these rims. Mine is still stock suspension. I know you have Cup brake ducts, how do they fit? Thanks, Kevin

Dave MPSC are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Basically DOT track ready tires. Legal for the street but probably not a great choice for a daily tire. They are a 6/32nd R compound sticky track tire. Most would agree it is the best all around track tire. Kevin

My car has H+R springs and is VERY close to the ground. I have the four wheel alignment at the race camber. The inside may occasionally touch the wheel well liner but it is not a problem and is due to my camber. At stock you will have no problem. The rear offset is 45mm on both wheels so the extra inch is all outward. The GT2 has the rear fender "rolled" however that does not seem to be necessary. Long story short, you will be fine and love the wheels!!!

That's great news. I ordered a set of GT2 wheels and they'll be here next week.
