New Hybrid Turbos

With all the talk about turbos etc.. I figured I'd follow up and post some pix of the final hybrid billet/K16s (coated this time) from Kevin @ Alamo...

I see it now! That is some a very tight fit on the impellor, Kevin mentioned that the housing had to be coated first then machined. It doesn't look coated, maybe had to machine off the coating around the impellors for clearence. Looks like he already did the wastegate adjustment. I wonder how those impellors will perform, did he say how much more flow than the stock impellors?

I'll ask Kevin about that but I think he mentioned it being an issue with clearance;( You're very observant, yes the waste gate adjusment has been made (heh it's a bigger one too).

I forgot the exact flow numbers but it was considerably more than K24s but lower than the Garretts. I'll ask Kevin again. We just weren't confident the tranny could hack it;(

Andrew...

I believe they perform the same as the K24s, but spool up faster.
