Doctor K is infamous around these parts
I've had both. The TT was a great car; the GT3 is a fabulous car. I'm keeping my GT3 for a long time. The more your drive the GT the more aware you are of the car's ability. The GT3 is more agile and seems to love the mini-twisties near my home. Can't go wrong on either car...but the GT3 is my considered choice.

Dr. K,

I'd like to learn more about your regear since I'm considering it as well. Are you changing the limited slip as well? Are you in California?

I haven't had both cars, but have driven both back to back prior to choosing the 996tt . For me it was very clearly the tt. I had previously owned a C36 and when it was time to upgrade, I considered the 996GT3 /996tt and the SLK55.

The 996tt's competence in all road conditions is phenomenal. My only mod so far is the exhaust and MPSC tyres(Cross suspension next).I have put 10000 Km in 4 monhts including one track day.For me, there is no shortage of visceral stimulation on the right road.

A friend who had both the GT3 and a 993tt sold both(for a Ferrari575 M), but regrets selling the 993tt.Now the 575 is gone, his soon to be replacement car.....a 996tt.
