Unhappy Got a little bit of bad news...looks like my front differential might be going out

Hey guys, I dropped off my car to a local shop out here (Carl's Place) to have the EVO wastegate upgrade installed and when they were running the car they noticed that the front was making a slight churning sound and vibrating a little bit. They think that my front differential might be going out. Any of you guys know someone who has a spare front diff layin around (I'm talking to the guys that have done a RWD conversion). How much do front differentials run thru the dealer? Any help would be appreciated!

They checked the hubs and the wheel bearing in the front and they looked fine so that's why they think it's the differential.

Only reason why i ask, is because when i got my car my wheel bearing was SHOT, like shattered! It was a loud roaring noise as speed's progressed and unbearable at some points

No, the sound is light and stays constant...I started noticing it a week or so ago.

I think this is my excuse to go RWD and dump the extra weight... The owner of the shop is checkin into a few parts needed for the conversion (per Stephan) so I will probably do it in a few weeks.

Thanks for the tip, I will have them check the CV joints too. I'm gonna do the conversion so if it still makes noise than it will have to be the CV joints.

Thanks for the heads up...I already talked to Boris about picking up his diff but it'll be able the same to convert the car to a RWD set-up so why not drop 150-200lbs off the car.
