Thinking about doing a safety upgrade... any advice on places to get seats, roll bar, harnesses (which brand?), and any instalation tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

try our board sponsor, Carnewal....ask for Gert

I did hear that GT3 seat prices have gone up a few hundred dollars these past few weeks--i think it has to do with the declining value of the Euro.

Since you're in the states, you might want to try Foreign Affairs as they usually have good deals on Techquipment stuff and they are board sponsers also!

No dealing with euro-us conversion and customs tax. Plus, shipping for those large items should be a lot less.

I agree to. Got mine from FA. Haven't decided between the Dasport or tech roll bar yet.

Picture of dassport bar...

Color...

Here is a picture of the dassport bar in my car...

I believe it's the only 996 bar besides custom made ones that will pass PCA safety inspection. Very well made and fitment was perfect. Aside from painting, it took me about 2 hours for the install. Much easier than the Tech bar which I did with a friend and over 10 hours!

Another thing...One downside is the factory carpeting for the rear strut tower doesn't fit back on. Some modification is needed. I'm still working on removing some of the foam and getting it back in there.
